Open Work Permit :
It allows you to work for any employer in any province in Canada. It does not limit you to a particular position. This means you can work for another employer if you want to change jobs or work for multiple employers. This permit also gives you the option of sponsoring your spouse.
Closed Work Permit:
On the other hand, a closed work permit only allows you to work for a specific Canadian employer indicated on your work permit. During the period of validity of your work permit, you must work only for that particular employer. If you wish to change employers, you must either apply for a change of work permit or apply for a new work permit from the new employer. Even taking into account these conditions, this permit also allows you to sponsor your spouse.
